A Bit About Me
I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Therapist with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, I have lived in Florida for the past 15 years, where I continue to serve my community with compassion, care, and dedication.
My work is grounded in a strength-based and trauma-informed approach, providing a warm, safe, and welcoming space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing trauma, depression, life transitions, and women’s issues, always believing in each person’s resilience and capacity for healing.
Therapy is a collaborative process, and I tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs. Outside of my professional work, I enjoy reading, staying active through exercise, and spending time in nature, which helps me remain grounded and fully present in my work with clients.
Work Experience
I bring over two decades of clinical experience providing mental health support to individuals across various life stages and backgrounds. My practice integrates evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), to support healing, emotional regulation, and personal growth.
In addition to my clinical work, I have extensive experience working with vulnerable populations and advocating for emotional well-being and access to supportive resources. I also contribute to the education and supervision of future therapists, supporting their academic and professional development.
My bilingual services in English and Spanish allow me to work meaningfully with individuals and families from different cultural backgrounds, ensuring care is accessible, respectful, and culturally responsive.
